CRISPY BAKED CHICKEN WINGS

A HEALTHIER OPTION

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 lbs CHICKEN WINGS, CUT AT THE JOINT

  • 2 tbsp MELTED BUTTER OR AVOCADO OIL

  • 2 Tbsp BAKING POWDER

  • 3/4 tsp SALT

  • 1 tsp. PAPRIKA

  • 1 tsp. GARLIC POWDER

PREPARATION:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees and adjust the rack to the middle-upper level.

  2. Using paper towels, pat the wings dry. The drier, the crispier!

  3. Lightly coat the dried wings with melted butter or avocado oil.

  4. Combine the baking powder, salt, paprika and garlic powder in a small bowl and mix well.

  5. Sprinkle the spice mixture over the wings and coat them evenly. Toss the wings in a bag or in a large bowl to help evenly coat the wings.

  6. Bake wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for 40-60 minutes—depending on the size—and turn every 20 minutes.

  7. Remove wings from the oven and let them stand for 5 minutes.

  8. Serve tossed in your favorite sauce or with dipping sauce on the side.
